Agentforcevs Callvu

Agentforce is Salesforce's AI agent platform for service, sales and internal work, with Agent Script for deterministic conditions and step order, actions through Apex and MuleSoft, Marshall for back-office processes on fixed paths, and the Einstein Trust Layer. Callvu is the Completion and Compliance Layer: when a conversation becomes a regulated process, Callvu runs it end to end through the back office to the core and other systems of record with a deterministic orchestrator, enforcing every regulation on every step. Agentforce can be one of the doors where a Callvu process starts.

The fair version

What Agentforce is built for.Sourced from their own pages.

Agentforce is Salesforce's platform for AI agents [1], sold as the Agentforce 360 Platform since October 2025 [2]. Agents are built from subagents and instructions in Agent Script, which adds deterministic conditions, transitions and action order to LLM reasoning, with defined areas where the LLM decides [6], with actions such as Apex actions [4] and connections to other systems through MuleSoft [5]. The Einstein Trust Layer adds grounding, data masking, toxicity checks and an audit trail [3], with audit and feedback data available for analysis in Data 360 [11]. At Dreamforce 2026 Salesforce added Marshall, which creates a fixed, approved path for back-office processes, and a Systems Integration Agent that executes deterministically in browser-based core systems without code, APIs or RPA [7]. Salesforce sells prebuilt agents for financial services [8]; ANZ uses Agentforce in its CRM [9], and Salesforce targets telecom with agentic tools [10]. Deployments are built by customers, Salesforce's forward deployed engineers or its FDE partner network [12]. Salesforce also agreed in June 2026 to acquire Fin, formerly Intercom [13], completed that acquisition in September 2026 [15], and on November 2, 2026 signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cresta, whose voice agents and conversation analysis it plans to pair with Service Cloud; that deal has not closed [14].

When to choose which

Two different jobs.Pick the one you need.

When to choose Agentforce

Choose Agentforce when Salesforce is your CRM and the need is AI agents for service, sales and internal work inside the Salesforce ecosystem [1][8], grounded in Salesforce data and built by your Salesforce team, Salesforce's engineers or a partner [12].

When to choose Callvu

Choose Callvu when an AI conversation starts a regulated process that must reach the core, loan origination, policy admin or billing systems and outside parties. Callvu orchestrates the work, routes it by work type, skill and due date, applies rules and policies and manages every decision, and it runs the handoff in the same process with five moves: it prefills from what the core already knows, classifies each request the moment it lands, chases and verifies documents from customers and outside parties on a clock, routes decisions to the Decision Desk, and writes the result back by API.

Guardrails are not runtime enforcement. Agentforce agents choose and run actions through Apex and MuleSoft [4][5], within instructions, Agent Script [6] and the Einstein Trust Layer [3]. Agent Script makes parts of an agent deterministic, but the agent still reasons about each request and chooses its actions. Marshall's fixed paths make back-office runs repeatable, and it builds the steps, forms and connections to systems of record [7]; the announcement does not describe checking every regulation and company policy on each step, document chase and verification, or a decision workspace for reviewers. Even with guardrails, an AI that runs the process can write wrong data to the system of record, take a path that is not in the workflow, or act compliantly most of the time rather than every time. Callvu does not let AI run the process. A deterministic orchestrator decides every next step and enforces every control before the step runs; AI, yours or Callvu's, only starts a process or evaluates it. Every run is recorded in a Decision Trace and an Audit Trace.

Choose Callvu, too, when time and services cost matter. Agentforce programs are built by your Salesforce team, Salesforce's engineers or partners such as Accenture and Deloitte [12]. Callvu's license includes white-glove design, implementation, maintenance and optimization for as long as it runs, with no separate services project, and Callvu goes live in a few weeks.

Runtime compliance enforcementYes. A deterministic orchestrator runs every step and decides the path; AI never runs the process. Every regulation and company policy is enforced on every step while the work runs, whether a person or an AI started it; a step that fails a control does not run. A Decision Trace and an Audit Trace for every runPartial. Agent Script adds deterministic conditions, subagent transitions and action order within an agent, while leaving defined areas where the LLM is free to make reasoning decisions; the Einstein Trust Layer adds data masking, toxicity checks and an audit trail; Marshall runs back-office processes on a fixed, approved path. Elsewhere LLM reasoning still decides how to handle each request, and checks of every regulation and company policy on every step are not described [6]
Front-to-back-office handoffYes, end to end: prefill from the core, classify the work, chase and verify documents, route decisions to the Decision Desk and write back to the system of record. Back-office planning starts the moment the front end startsPartial. Marshall runs back-office processes on a fixed, approved path, and a Systems Integration Agent executes deterministically in browser-based core systems without APIs; actions also reach other systems through MuleSoft. AI guardrails vs deterministic executionDeterministic execution, not guardrails: AI never runs the process. Using both together

Keep what works.Add the layer that finishes it.

Salesforce stays the CRM and Agentforce stays the conversational layer. An Agentforce agent or a Service Cloud case starts a Callvu process for a regulated step; Callvu runs the back-office work and the write back to the core, and returns completion status, captured data, compliance flags and the Decision Trace and Audit Trace to the Salesforce record. Callvu can also run the whole process on its own, from any door.

FAQ

The questions buyers ask.Answered plainly.

Does Agentforce enforce compliance at runtime?
Agentforce adds deterministic conditions, transitions and action order through Agent Script, and the Einstein Trust Layer adds masking, toxicity checks and an audit trail. Marshall runs back-office processes on a fixed, approved path. For conversational agents, LLM reasoning still decides how to handle each request and which actions to run, and checks of every regulation and company policy on every step are not described. In Callvu, a deterministic orchestrator decides the path and runs every step, AI never runs the process, and every regulation and company policy is enforced on every step before it executes, through to the core.
Can an Agentforce agent start a Callvu process?
Yes. An Agentforce agent or a Service Cloud case can start a Callvu process for a regulated step, and Callvu writes completion status, captured data and compliance flags back to the Salesforce record, with a Decision Trace and an Audit Trace for every run.
Is Agent Script the same as deterministic execution?
Not quite. Agent Script makes parts of an agent's behavior deterministic, but the agent still reasons about the request and chooses actions, so it can take a path outside the regulated workflow or write data the process did not intend. Callvu keeps AI out of execution entirely: the orchestrator decides every next step and enforces every control before it runs.
What are alternatives to Agentforce for regulated banking or insurance requests?
If Salesforce is your CRM, Agentforce is the natural agent layer. For regulated requests that must finish in the core, the loan system, policy admin or billing, with documents from outside parties and recorded decisions, Callvu runs the process end to end behind Agentforce or any other AI agent.
How fast can Callvu go live behind Agentforce?
Callvu builds the process for you and launches in a few weeks, with white-glove implementation included in the license. A proof of value runs on one of your own processes first.
