Identifivs Callvu

Identifi is document management and servicing workflow software for banks and credit unions: it stores documents against retention rules and routes internal tasks and approvals. Callvu is the Completion and Compliance Layer: it orchestrates, routes and decides across the whole process, from the member's request to the core and the loan system, chasing documents from outside parties and enforcing compliance at every step while the work runs. Many institutions need a document repository and a handoff layer; the question is which problem is costing you more today.

The fair version

What Identifi is built for.Sourced from their own pages.

Identifi sells document management and workflow automation to banks and credit unions, and describes itself as a servicing workflow engine that syncs with the core [1]. Its products cover an encrypted document repository with retention rules tied to NCUA, FFIEC and BSA categories [7], workflow automation that routes documents, approvals and tasks across departments [4], document tracking for missing and exception documents, e-signatures, e-receipts and statements [2]. In April 2026 it launched AI Document Review, which checks for missing or misplaced signatures [6]. Identifi says it does not replace the core or the loan origination system; it covers the servicing work those systems do not track [4]. It serves hundreds of banks and credit unions [5] and has named new credit union customers, including Mid-Atlantic FCU [8].

When to choose which

Two different jobs.Pick the one you need.

When to choose Identifi

Choose Identifi when the main gap is document management: a single repository with retention schedules and litigation holds [7], internal routing of servicing documents and approvals [4], and tracking of missing documents for audit [2]. It fits a community bank or credit union on a core it integrates with, such as Corelation, Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv [3] or COCC [1], that wants business staff to adjust routing in a drag-and-drop designer [4].

When to choose Callvu

Choose Callvu when you want the whole process run in one layer. Callvu orchestrates the work, routes it by work type, skill and due date, applies rules and policies and manages every decision, and it runs the handoff between the member and the back office in the same process. It does that with five moves: it prefills from what the core already knows, classifies each request with work type, skill, effort and due date the moment it lands, chases and verifies documents from members and outside parties on a clock, routes decisions to the Decision Desk, and writes the result back to the core and the loan system by API. Back-office planning starts the moment the front end starts, instead of days later.

Choose Callvu as well when compliance has to be enforced while the work runs rather than checked afterward. Callvu Studio comes with most regulations already loaded as policies, enforces your own SOPs the same way, and produces a Decision Trace and an Audit Trace for every run. That also covers AI: if a member starts in an AI chat, Callvu evaluates every action, whether a person or an AI started it, before anything reaches the core.

Side by side

The verifiable facts.Nothing else.

Every cell about Identifi is sourced from its own public pages. Runtime enforcement and the handoff lead the table because they are where the two differ most.

Primary roleCompletion and Compliance Layer between every front door and the system of recordDocument management (ECM) and servicing workflow; does not replace the core or LOS [4]
Runtime compliance enforcementYes. A deterministic orchestrator runs every step; AI never runs the process. Every regulation and company policy is enforced on every step while the work runs, whether a person or an AI started it; a step that fails a control does not run. A Decision Trace and an Audit Trace for every runPartial. Rules-based routing for reviews such as BSA and OFAC screening, approval routing, exceptions sent to a person, and an audit trail of each step. Not documented: a policy layer that enforces every regulation and company policy on every step, with a step that fails a control stopped before it runs [4]
Front-to-back-office handoffYes, end to end: prefill from the core, classify the work, chase and verify documents, route decisions to the Decision Desk and write back to the system of record. Back-office planning starts the moment the front end startsRoutes documents and approvals once they arrive; does not originate loans or replace the core [4]

Using both together

Keep what works.Add the layer that finishes it.

Identifi and Callvu solve different problems, so they fit side by side. Identifi stays the document repository and retention system. Callvu runs the member-facing request and the handoff around it, then files the completed, checked documents and the record of who did what to your existing systems by API. Every file reaches the repository complete, and examiners get the Decision Trace and Audit Trace for each run. Callvu can also run the whole process on its own.

FAQ

The questions buyers ask.Answered plainly.

Does Identifi enforce compliance at runtime?
Partly. Identifi enforces workflow rules: it routes BSA and OFAC screening to the right team, routes approvals, sends exceptions to a person and keeps an audit trail of each step. It does not document a policy layer that enforces every regulation and company policy on every step of a process while it runs and stops a step that fails a control. Callvu does: most regulations come already loaded as policies, a step that fails a control does not run, and every run leaves a Decision Trace and an Audit Trace.
What are the alternatives to Identifi for credit union back-office automation?
It depends on the problem. If you need a document repository with retention rules and internal document routing, Identifi and other document management vendors fit. If the cost sits in the handoff, where member requests get re-keyed into the core, documents are chased by email and approvals live in inboxes, Callvu is built for that: it runs the process end to end from the first request to the write back, with compliance enforced at every step.
Is Callvu a document management system like Identifi?
No. Callvu does not replace a document repository. It collects, reads and checks documents as part of a running process and writes them, with the full record of who did what and when, to the systems you already use.
Can a credit union use Identifi and Callvu together?
Yes. Identifi can remain the document repository and retention system. Callvu runs the member-facing request and the back-office handoff around it, and writes completed documents and case records back by API, so files arrive complete and already checked.
Does Identifi have AI agents?
Identifi's published AI feature is AI Document Review, launched in April 2026, which checks signatures. Callvu treats AI, its own or yours, as one of the doors where a process starts, and evaluates every action before it reaches the core, whether a person or an AI started it.
Which is better for loan servicing at a community bank, Identifi or Callvu?
For storing and tracking loan documents against retention rules, Identifi. For moving servicing requests from the borrower to the core and the loan system, with documents chased on a clock, decisions in the Decision Desk and compliance enforced during the run, Callvu.
